Seven Nebraska providers have been designated as the state’s first certified community behavioral health clinics, with services set to launch in January 2026.
The initiative, led by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, is designed to expand access to integrated mental health and substance use care, according to a Sept. 24 news release. The model is intended to reduce administrative barriers and give providers greater flexibility in addressing patient needs.
The providers include Lincoln-based CenterPointe, Omaha-based Community Alliance, South Sioux City-based Heartland Counseling Services, Omaha-based Heartland Family Services, Omaha-based Lutheran Family Services, Kearney-based South Central Behavioral Services and Norfolk-based the Well, according to the news release.
The clinics will provide 24/7 crisis services, care coordination, peer support and tailored treatment under the new payment model.
