The hospital stopped accepting additional admissions for behavioral health services June 6 but will continue to care for current inpatients while working to transfer them to other facilities, the report said.

The hospital will also be eliminating 157 positions across a variety of service areas, including full-time, part-time and PRN roles. This reduction will account for 5.5 percent of the hospital’s total workforce.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
