The program closed in 2021 after Hurricane Ida hit the area. Attempts were made to reopen in early 2022 but were unsuccessful due to a lack of staff and the destruction from the hurricane.
It is currently open to adults with mental health issues, but the facility plans to expand the program to offer outpatient care to adolescents and individuals with substance abuse issues in the future.
