Los Angeles-based Precise Behavioral, a physician-led behavioral health services and technology company, raised $14.2 million in venture funding.

A1 Health Ventures led the round, with participation from Ziegler Link-Age Fund, Converge Capital Partners and Granite Financial Holdings, an affiliate of Blue Cross of Idaho. Precise Behavioral is already profitable, and the funding will support scaling its operations, digital SaaS capabilities and AI roadmap.

“Behavioral health continues to be one of the greatest operational challenges facing hospitals,” said Nitin Nanda, MD, founder and CEO of Precise Behavioral. “Service line owners are managing numerous vendors and fragmented workflows when they need a singular enterprise solution that improves access, outcomes, and operational performance.”

Founded in 2022, Precise Behavioral partners with hospitals, health systems, ACOs, skilled nursing facilities and correctional facilities to deliver behavioral healthcare across inpatient, emergency and ambulatory settings through its Behavioral Operating System. The company counts CommonSpirit and Prime Healthcare among its health system partners.

“Precise Behavioral targeted this niche early on and has scaled rapidly, reaching profitability in under three years, delivering more than 100,000 patient encounters, and building a national clinical footprint,” said Karim Botros, managing partner at A1 Health Ventures.

The raise lands amid a broader resurgence in digital health funding, which has drawn several megadeals so far in 2026.

Dr. Nanda previously founded Aligned Telehealth, a behavioral telehealth company he sold to Amwell in 2019.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
