Mental Health Cooperative CEO’s tenure ends

Michelle Schafer’s tenure as CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based Mental Health Cooperative ended in June, according to LinkedIn.

The behavioral health provider has named Corey Cronrath, DO, interim CEO, according to its website. Dr. Cronrath also serves as chief medical officer and chief information officer. 

In a statement shared with Becker’s, a spokesperson from the Mental Health Cooperative said “Former Chief Executive Officer Michelle Schafer is no longer with Mental Health Cooperative (MHC). The board thanks Michelle for her service and wishes her the best.

The board has appointed Dr. Corey Cronrath as interim CEO. Cronrath has served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer. Our experienced leadership team will ensure that our patients and civic partners will see no disruption in operations.

MHC remains fully committed to empowering the patients we serve with compassionate, whole-person care.
