New Haven, Conn.-based Yale School of Medicine was gifted $10 million from Bukhman Philanthropies to bolster child and adolescent mental health initiatives.

The funding will support the Yale Child Study Center and two of its initiatives: the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program, according to an April 30 news release from the medical school. The investment is intended to develop evidence-based interventions and expand tools aimed at improving emotional well-being among children and young adults.

Yale School of Medicine has more than 1,700 physicians and focuses on biomedical research, clinical care and medical education.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
