The Oklahoma Children’s OU Health Behavioral Health Center secured a $750,000 grant from the James M. Cox Foundation to expand access to pediatric behavioral health services across Oklahoma.The center is part of OU Health, the University of Oklahoma’s academic health system.
The behavioral health center is scheduled to open in December 2026 on the OU Health campus in Oklahoma City, according to an Aug. 4 news release. The more than 172,000-square-foot, three-story facility will include two inpatient floors as well as psychiatric evaluation and treatment, outpatient therapy and family support services.
OU Health said the funding will help expand the center’s clinical team and increase access to care for children and adolescents statewide. The facility is also expected to create more than 400 clinical and nonclinical jobs.
