Nashville, Tenn.-based Centerstone has received a $750,000 suicide prevention grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs to support veterans in the St. Louis region.

The funding will support outreach, screening and care navigation efforts aimed at connecting veterans to VA healthcare and benefits, according to a news release from the organization.

Centerstone’s military services will focus on identifying veterans not currently engaged with the VA and linking them to behavioral health and community-based care.

The organization said the grant can be renewed for two additional years, with potential total funding of $2.25 million.

Centerstone has more than 10,000 employees across 350 locations nationwide.
