The company said June 22 that GameChange is the world’s first immersive therapeutic for serious mental illness. It provides automated VR cognitive behavioral therapy and is available only via prescription.

The virtual reality therapy includes immersive scenarios that guide patients through simulations of everyday situations in public. Patients in a recent clinical trial conducted in partnership with Oxford University and the U.K.’s National Health Service reported high satisfaction with the therapy.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
