Valera Health lands $44.5M from Cigna, BCBS Arizona

Virtual mental health practice Valera Health landed a $44.5 million investment with help from the venture capital arms of two big payers.

Heritage Group, a venture fund that partners with several large hospital systems and local Blue Cross Blue Shield companies, led the funding, Valera said Oct. 31. 

Centene Ventures and Trinnovate Ventures, which is associated with BCBS Arizona, also participated.
