Dr. Tia Dole to serve as chief officer of national suicide hotline

Tia Dole, PhD, a clinical psychologist, has been appointed chief officer of the National 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Most recently, Dr. Dole served as executive director of The Steve Fund, a nonprofit organization focused on the mental health of young people of color, according to a Jan. 26 news release from Vibrant Emotional Health, the organization that runs the hotline. She previously served as chief of clinical operations at The Trevor Project, a global suicide prevention organization for LGBT youths.
