La Crosse, Wis.-based Emplify Health by Gundersen opened an adolescent partial hospitalization program to expand behavioral health services for teens.

The program is designed for patients ages 13-18 who are still in high school and experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges, according to a Nov. 10 news release from the health system.

Mollie Mcrae, clinical manager for behavioral health, said in a Nov. 12 news release the program aims to equip teens with lifelong mental health tools and fill a critical gap in care. The three-week program includes group-based therapy as well as individual, family and psychiatry appointments.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
