Journey Mental Health Center is closing its location in Portage, Wis., in January, NBC affiliate WMTV reported Dec. 28.

The closure is due to Columbia County moving its mental health services to the Pauquette Center, another psychological services provider in Portage. Journey’s chief clinical officer, Nichole Wright, said in the report that the decision to move came down to money.

Journey’s Portage facility will close Jan. 31, with the nonprofit saying it will work in collaboration with the county and the Pauquette Center to ensure a smooth transition, according to the report.
