The money will be provided via HHS’ Mental Health & Substance Abuse Service Grant Program, according to an Oct. 13 news release from Sen. Shelley Moore Capito.
The funds will be distributed to four state behavioral health initiatives:
- $1,678,044 to the West Virginia Integration of Primary and Behavioral Health Care Program, which integrates behavioral health services into primary care.

$1 million each to three divisions of the state’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics Program, providing behavioral health and substance use treatment systems in three West Virginia cities:
