The 137-bed psychiatric facility was owned by Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare and closed at the end of July following several concerns over staff-to-patient ratios and safety, including a three-month strike in 2021.
The state is expected to take possession of the facility Aug. 15 and will serve 20 “civil conversion” patients with criminal charges from Western State Hospital in Lakewood, the report said.
