Virtual psychiatry company lands $40M in funding

Mental health startup Iris Telehealth recently secured $40 million in funding in the series B stage of startup financing.

Iris partners with health systems, hospitals and community health centers to provide telepsychiatry services, including helping providers triage patients who need more advanced treatment to help them receive the level of care necessary. 

Goals of the startup include growing its clinical operations team to meet the increasing need for behavioral health treatment and refining its product and technology capabilities to better manage patients across every level of care, ensuring the right patient is receiving the right care at the right time, according to an April 14 press release from the company.
