Chesapeake (Va.) Regional Health Care has completed construction of a new inpatient behavioral health unit at the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, WAVY reported on Jan. 7.
The system will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 8 to showcase the 11,200-square-foot space, which includes 20 private rooms for adult patients, two activity rooms, a quiet room, a group therapy room and a sensory room.
The unit is designed as a therapeutic environment focused on patient recovery, according to the report.
