Brigham and Women’s to support launch of AI-driven relapse platform

Digital video technology platform Videra Health has partnered with Discovery Behavioral Health and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston to launch an AI-driven online platform addressing relapse for patients in their first year after outpatient treatment.

Discovery365 will track patient progress for 12 months after discharge from a behavioral treatment program, according to an email release shared Sept. 27 with Becker's. Discovery refers to this period as "the one-year gap" when industry relapse rates are higher.

The platform will use video-captured analytics by sending automated prompts through either text or email as an asynchronous digital check-in and having patients respond via video.

Discovery365 will then use Videra Health's technology to analyze the patient's verbal and nonverbal behavior to identify signs of struggle or relapse, such as emotional distress or high-risk behavior.
