The partnership will provide a school-based treatment model that will add therapists and open virtual care centers in every school across the county, according to an Aug. 30 news release. Funding for this partnership is supported by the Duke Endowment.

The project, which will also connect students with UNC child and adolescent psychiatrists if needed, is expected to begin later in the fall semester, with the goal of treating hundreds of students with mental health needs in Bladen County.
