UHS added 391 behavioral health beds in 2022

Universal Health Services added 391 beds to new and existing behavioral health facilities in 2022, according to the UHS annual report.

UHS, based in King of Prussia, Pa., also opened several facilities, including Beaumont Behavioral Health in Dearborn, Mich.; Via Linda Behavioral Health in Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Granite Hills Hospital in West Allis, Wis. River Vista Behavioral Health in Madera, Calif., is also slated to open in 2023.

Meanwhile, divisionwide referrals passed 1.5 million, a 15 percent increase from the previous year.
