The University of Tennessee College of Nursing in Knoxville received a $3.7 million federal grant to provide care in rural underserved rural communities and residents.
The funding will be used to make care more accessible to rural residents and underserved minorities regardless of insurance status using mobile health units and telehealth services, the school said Aug.4.
The grant was from the Health Resources and Services Administration, a federal agency that works to improve access to healthcare services nationwide.
