The program runs out of the group’s location in Westport and offers services including dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based treatment, according to a March 27 news release from Turnbridge. The program is catered toward adolescents ages 14 to 17 with hours that allow them to get treatment and still attend school.
“Too often, receiving the high level of comprehensive therapies needed to effectively treat these conditions and help young people access the full range of resources they need means missing school,” Jamie Hazelton, executive vice president of Turnbridge, said in the release. “Being able to attend school can reduce the unnecessary stress of worrying about missing schoolwork and falling behind.”
