Austin, Texas-based Family Care Center has opened an outpatient behavioral health clinic in South Austin, marking its sixth location in the region.

The clinic offers therapy, psychiatry, medication management and advanced treatment such as  transcranial magnetic stimulation, according to a March 30 news release from the organization.

The Family Care Center’s integrated care model focuses on multidisciplinary teams collaborating on treatment plans, coordination services and providing continuity across care settings. The model includes therapy, medication management, transcranial magnetic stimulation and mental health intensive outpatient programs when needed.

The expansion comes as demand for behavioral health services rises in the region. Austin’s population grew from about 962,000 in 2020 to over 1 million in 2025, while 1 in 5 adults in Texas faces a mental health condition, the release said.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
