Talkspace's new CEO and 7 other behavioral health leadership moves

Here are eight changes companies made to their leadership teams that Becker's has reported since Nov. 9:

  1. Providence Health Plan added Scott Burton and Shannon Drotning to its executive leadership team, where they will lead its commercial and consumer markets, respectively.

 

  1. Los Alamitos, Calif.-based Discovery Behavioral Health appointed Joseph Garbely, DO, the medical director of its Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery treatment center in Scotrun, Pa.

 

  1. Aware Recovery Care, an at-home mental health treatment company based in Wallington, Conn., named Martha Mather its COO and expanded to Kentucky, its 10th state.

 

  1. Kathy Greene, a licensed clinical social worker, was named the inaugural chief operations officer at Bayville, N.J.-based behavioral health treatment provider Bright Harbor Healthcare.

 

  1. Ted Guastello was appointed CEO of AMFM Healthcare, a San Juan Capistrano, Calif.-based mental health services company.

 

  1. Irvine, Calif.-based Discovery Behavioral Health named Jennifer Carvalho as president of its substance use division, effective Jan. 1. Ms. Carvalho was also elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers.

 

  1. Talkspace named Jon Cohen, MD, one of its board directors, its next CEO. The company's interim CEO, Doug Braunstein, will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
