Through this partnership, Talkspace will offer educators discounted access to its therapy and mental health resources, according to a Jan. 22 news release from the company. This discount will be available to AFT’s more than 1.7 million members, which includes teachers, paraprofessionals and nurses.
This partnership follows a June study sponsored by the AFT and the National Education Association that found that educators for kindergarten through 12th grade have higher rates of job related stress, burnout and symptoms of depression compared to that of other working adults in the U.S.
