Autin, Texas-based St. David's HealthCare has secured rezoning approval to build an 80-bed hospital in Austin, Austin Business Journal reported Oct. 12.
The health system had previously said the $33.8 million facility would create 200 jobs. The center is planned for a plot of land adjacent to St. David's North Austin Medical Center campus. The project still needs site plan approval.
St. David's officials expect the process to be finished by the end of 2023. The project is part of St. David's plan to invest $953 million in new facilities.
