SonderMind took in 30 new employees as part of the acquisition, which took place last month.

Mark Frank, CEO and co-founder of the company, said the layoffs were necessary to improve profitability, according to the publication.

Mr. Frank projected the company would grow to 375 employees by the end of the year back in May, Denver Business Journal reported.
