ServiceNet receives $4M grant for mental health services

ServiceNet, a nonprofit human service agency based in Northampton, Mass., has received a $4 million grant from the federal government to expand mental health services, the Daily Hampshire Gazette reported Jan. 15.

The grant was given by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services and will be used to expand a two-year pilot program focusing on removing barriers to treatment for substance use and mental health disorders.

The grant will also allow ServiceNet to hire additional providers that insurance might not typically cover across its two clinics in Northampton and Greenfield. The two clinics currently serve just under 200 clients.
