The “Psychiatrist Wealth and Debt Report 2022,” published Aug. 15, polled more than 13,000 physicians in 29 specialties from Oct. 5 to Jan. 19.

The survey found that psychiatrists’ average annual income grew to $287,000, compared to 2021’s average income of $275,000.

Despite the 4 percent increase, psychiatrists’ pay still ranks in the bottom third of all physicians, according to the report.
