Lakewood, N.J.-based Preferred Behavioral Health Group named Dr. Tara Chalakani, RN, its new CEO.
Dr. Chalakani has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, having held positions in mental health treatment, crisis response, leadership, higher education and consulting, according to a Sept. 28 news release. She served as the organization's deputy CEO before her newest appointment.
"Not only is Tara an accomplished professional in the field of behavioral health, as a practicing psychotherapist, she brings a unique perspective into the most pressing issues facing children, adults and families today," Mary Pat Angelini, the group's current CEO, said in the release.
