Dr. Chalakani has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, having held positions in mental health treatment, crisis response, leadership, higher education and consulting, according to a Sept. 28 news release. She served as the organization’s deputy CEO before her newest appointment.
“Not only is Tara an accomplished professional in the field of behavioral health, as a practicing psychotherapist, she brings a unique perspective into the most pressing issues facing children, adults and families today,” Mary Pat Angelini, the group’s current CEO, said in the release.
