Kingston, Pa.-based Commonwealth Health First Hospital is closing, along with its affiliated outpatient behavioral health services, on Oct. 30, the Times Leader reported Aug. 1.
The hospital said in a statement that it no longer has enough staff to accept new admissions, the report said. Both admissions and staffing numbers at the hospital have been trending downward.
The hospital is notifying patients, family members, physicians, staff, and state and federal agencies of its plans to close, the report said.
