First Hospital closed in October 2022, and the new hospital is set to open this October. The opening will reintroduce inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment and counseling, services that have been limited in the area since the hospital’s closing, state Rep. Aaron Kaufer said in a July 13 report from the Times Leader.
The hospital is in the process of securing a state license with the Department of Human Service’s Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, with the help of Signet Health, a behavioral health management company based in North Richland Hills, Texas, WNEP reported.
