The Montefiore Einstein Center for Children’s Mental Health of the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein will be located within the New York City Children’s Center campus next to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, according to a March 6 news release from the health system.

The 21-bed unit will offer intensive treatment for youths with serious behavioral health conditions, such as severe depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal thoughts and psychosis. It will be funded in part by an almost $6 million appropriation to Montefiore.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
