NYC Health + Hospitals is working to turn the city's behavioral health crisis into an opportunity to level up its care. 

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the state has awarded $39.1 million toward the development of comprehensive psychiatric emergency programs at nine hospitals.

Lexingnton-based UK HealthCare will open a behavioral health emergency department July 31 at Eastern State Hospital, leaders told the Lexington Herald-Leader in a June 10 report.
