The new facility will replace Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare Kosar building as the region’s state-run behavioral hospital, according to the report. The new facility has 30 more beds than the previous site.

Staff and patients will move into the new site in June, according to the Dispatch. The facility is expected to employ more than 500 people and serve around 900 patients each year.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
