Ohio opens 208-bed behavioral hospital

A new, 208-bed state-run behavioral health hospital has opened in Columbus, Ohio, the Columbus Dispatch reported May 23.

The new facility will replace Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare Kosar building as the region's state-run behavioral hospital, according to the report. The new facility has 30 more beds than the previous site.

Staff and patients will move into the new site in June, according to the Dispatch. The facility is expected to employ more than 500 people and serve around 900 patients each year.
