NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi has opened its adult mental health outpatient treatment practice to the public.
The $8.8 million renovation project updated the practice that offers mental health treatment to approximately 10,000 patients at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. Construction on the renovation began in September 2020, according to an Oct. 11 news release.
The revamped practice will offer individual and group therapy, pharmacotherapy and telehealth, in addition to its psychiatric emergency program, partial hospitalization program and comprehensive addiction treatment center.
"The new Adult Mental Health Outpatient Treatment Practice at Jacobi represents a tremendous investment in modern behavioral healthcare," CEO Christopher Mastromano said in the release. "The investment will now be obvious to all of our patients as they are treated and cared for in a total state of the art facility."
