New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health held a grand opening for its $5 million, 12,000-square-foot Behavioral Health Wellness Center in Riverhead, N.Y., The Suffolk Times reported May 9.
The center will open to patients June 1 and offer a spectrum of care through two service lines:
- A five-days-a-week partial hospitalization program for youth ages 10 to 17 who need inpatient-level care but not a psychiatric hospital stay.
- Traditional outpatient behavioral services for patients ages 5 to 21, including treatments such as dialectical behavior therapy-informed treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, parent and child interactive therapy, play therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and behavior modification.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
