Gov. Phil Murphy signed Bill S3061 into law Jan. 17, which allows New Jersey mental health professionals to now practice in 31 other states. The compact allows licensed counselors to provide telehealth services in any other compact state without needing multiple licenses.

Four more states, in addition to the District of Columbia, are looking to join the compact, the report said.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
