New Jersey hospital launches campaign to support behavioral health unit

Newton (N.J.) Medical Center is looking to raise $3.5 million to support three projects, including a new behavioral health unit, the New Jersey Herald reported July 31.

The behavioral health unit was completed in January and includes four treatment rooms along with a consultation room, nursing station and family lounge. The money from the fundraising campaign will support the unit, along with upgrades to the intensive care unit and maternity department, the report said.

Newton Medical Center is part of Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System.
