A total of $43 million has been allocated for the New Jersey Statewide Student Support Service network, which looks to provide more mental health services for students across the state. Meanwhile, $5 million has been designated for a mental health diversion program.
The state budget also includes funding for a variety of mental health-focused organizations, including $250,000 to the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, which will be used to develop mental health toolkits for parents of teenagers, according to the report.
