Donahue Behavioral Health will be built on the Oklahoma State University campus in the city, according to a Sept. 11 news release from the department. The $147 million, 330-bed facility aims to serve 275 adult and 55 adolescent patients daily, offering both acute care and outpatient services.

The hospital will increase the agency’s operational capacity by 100 beds and will add an estimated 250 jobs.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
