The facility has already received $10 million in state and county funding, including $3 million from the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs and a grant from Bucks County’s Opioid Settlement Advisory Committee.
It will care for patients of all ages experiencing a behavioral health crisis, including issues stemming from mental health, drug and alcohol use, and intellectual disabilities. It will also have separate rooms for children and adults, accommodations for accompanying family members, and space for individuals waiting for long-term placements.
The center is slated to open in 2024 next to Lenape Valley’s current outpatient facility.
