MultiCare launches adolescent behavioral health program

MultiCare Health System has opened an adolescent day program at its behavioral health clinic in Burien, Wash.

The partial hospitalization program will offer intensive dialectical behavior therapy for patients between 13 and 17 years old who are struggling with depression, dysregulated emotions and self-harm behaviors, according to an email release shared Sept. 7 with Becker's.

The program is able to treat up to 12 patients at a time and is staffed by five behavioral health specialists. It is funded in part by the Washington State Health Care Authority, with additional funding from the MultiCare Behavioral Health Foundation.
