Montana to contract private firm to revamp behavioral health system

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services has closed its request for bids for contractors to overhaul the state's behavioral health system, The Independent Record reported July 26.

Once signed, the contract will begin immediately and run through Dec. 31, 2025. Funding for the contractor's work will range from $5 million to $10 million, which will be allocated from the $300 million lawmakers passed to renew the system.

The contractor will work alongside the Department of Public Health and Human Services and the Behavioral Health System for Future Generations Commission, the report said.
