Montana signs contract to amend behavioral health system

The Montana state health department has signed a contract to update its behavioral health system, The Montana Free Press reported Sept. 14.

The two-year agreement with New York-based Alvarez & Marsal Public Sector Services aims to update the state’s system, focusing on reforming mental health, addiction treatment and developmental disabilities services across Montana.

The contract focuses on a variety of projects initiated by the Department of Public Health and Human Services, including solutions to decrease pressure on the Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs, the report said.
