Merger will create Colorado's largest behavioral health center

A merger between two of Colorado's community mental health centers will create the largest behavioral health center in the state, The Colorado Sun reported Nov. 16.

Denver-based mental health and homeless outreach organization WellPower will combine with Jefferson Center, which offers mental health services for residents across Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties. The combination will be completed in July, according to the report.

The two organizations combined have 2,000 employees and serve roughly 48,000 people annually. Through this merger, they will be able to offer a longer list of mental health and addiction treatment services to Colorado residents such as mobile medication-assisted treatment, walk-in crisis centers and outreach programs, the report said.
