Mental health tech startup Hopscotch secures $8M

Hopscotch, a startup platform providing virtual mental healthcare to children and teenagers, raised $8 million in a seed funding round, Business Insider reported Sept. 13.

Hopscotch is in network with insurers including UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem and Aetna, according to the company’s website.

The company recruited employees from Boston Children’s Hospital and the American Academy of Pediatrics to help providers with billing, professional development and resources to treat mental health conditions in young people, Marla Beyer, CEO and co-founder of Hopscotch, told the publication.
