The CEOs of the two Hagerstown, Md.-based organizations have worked over the past several months on how they can use the strengths of their respective organizations to better fill current and future mental health needs across the region and state, according to a June 12 Meritus news release.

Once combined, patients will have access to integrated clinical offerings with 80 inpatient beds; a psychiatry residency program; a high-acuity residential crisis program; day treatment programs for children, adolescents, and adults; substance abuse treatment services; mental health urgent care; and mental health telehealth visits, among other services, according to the release.

Together, there will be 25 providers, 105 licensed therapists, 115 dedicated nursing staff, and 20 teachers dedicated to supporting mental health services, according to the release.

The affiliation will not reduce jobs, but Brook Lane employees will be moved to the more competitive Meritus compensation scale, according to the release.

Meritus CFO told Becker’s that with the affiliation, Meritus Health will become one of the largest mental health providers in Maryland.
